Scope and boundaries

Three weeks of active assessment across a 4 to 6 calendar week collection window for the agreed source estate. At least 14 days of performance evidence inform sizing, dependency, workload-fit and migration-economics decisions.

This is a read-only assessment, not migration or production remediation. Existing inventory and cost evidence can be reused in later work. Request a customer-specific Microsoft Marketplace private offer after confirming scope and terms. Microsoft licenses and consumption are separate.

  • No production configuration changes are included in an assessment.
  • No license purchase, legal opinion, penetration test, custom software build, or product subscription is included.
  • Follow-on implementation and managed operations require a separate approved scope.
  • Findings depend on the access, inventory, and evidence made available during the engagement.

Your approval before production changes

The assessment does not make production changes. A named customer owner reviews the findings, priorities, dependencies, and proposed next step before any follow-on work is scoped or performed.

How the engagement runs

  1. Mobilize

    Confirm the source estate, owners, access and business priorities.

  2. Collect evidence

    Gather at least 14 days of performance data for defensible sizing and dependencies.

  3. Analyze and model

    Assess target fit, licensing assumptions and cost scenarios during the active assessment weeks.

  4. Review and decide

    Deliver the suitability report, traceable TCO, decision log and first migration-wave plan for customer sign-off.
