Scope and boundaries

Three weeks for one Microsoft 365 tenant, one Microsoft Foundry project, one supported Azure AI Search service and one representative agent scenario using approved non-production sources.

Permission trimming depends on supported sources and explicitly configured permission synchronization. Production cutover, enterprise content cleanup and unsupported connectors are excluded. Reuse accepted grounding assets and tests in later implementation; quote only additional work or justified revalidation.

  • Production cutover and enterprise-wide content remediation are excluded.
  • Unsupported source connectors and guarantees for preview-only portal capabilities are excluded.
  • Application user-interface development outside the agreed integration sample is excluded.
  • Production effects require a separate customer-approved release decision.

How the engagement runs

  1. Week 1: Select sources and access

    Confirm knowledge sources, ownership, access model, data quality, and target architecture.

  2. Week 2: Configure and evaluate

    Configure Microsoft Foundry IQ and Azure AI Search in a customer-approved environment, then run the agreed retrieval evaluation.

  3. Week 3: Test and hand off

    Complete permission testing, quality tuning, the operational runbook, knowledge transfer, and the production handoff plan.
