Scope and boundaries

One week for the agreed existing Sentinel workspace, focused on Defender portal transition, access validation and operating-workflow handoff.

Connector engineering, analytics redesign and playbook modernization are excluded. This package is not billed separately when the same transition is included in Sentinel modernization.

  • One week for an agreed Microsoft Sentinel workspace and transition backlog. Discovery defines connector, rule and automation limits before an engagement is quoted.
  • A new SIEM, universal connector replacement, guaranteed zero interruption and autonomous remediation are not assumed. Custom detections, unrelated Defender deployment and managed SOC services require separate scope.
  • Microsoft licenses and consumption are separate. The customer approves the exact change and recovery plan before production work.

Your approval before production changes

A named customer owner reviews the exact proposed change, evidence, dependencies, rollback path, and operating owner before any production effect proceeds.

How the engagement runs

  1. Day 1

    Confirm workspace readiness, licensing, roles and supported features.

  2. Day 2

    Review connector, incident and automation dependencies and approve the transition plan.

  3. Days 3 and 4

    Exercise approved workflows, perform authorized transition steps and record exceptions.

  4. Day 5

    Verify analyst acceptance and transfer the recovery decisions and SOC runbook.
